Ellen Kenwood is the director of Lazarus’ Orphanage Project and is the co-ordinater for America. Ellen lives in the Berkshire Mountains, in Massachusetts, U.S.A and has been spending winters in India for over twenty years. During her time in India, she practices yoga and meditation, as well as being involved in humanitarian projects such ‘The Tibetan Relief Project’ in Dharamasala and also ‘The India Project’ in Kayavarohan, Gujarat. In the U.S.A, she is on the board of directors of the B.K.C and also on the ‘Outreach’ committee, which brings yoga into prisons. Her other work involves designing jewelry and selling Indian artifacts and she also leads a yearly group which visits sacred sites in India.
