Profile and Team
Mary Kingsley worked in nursing and social work before practising as a psychotherapist for 18 years. During this period she founded a UKCP psychotherapy training organisation, worked with a team of 6 medical doctors, initiating psychotherapy into orthodox medicine, and also lectured, specialising in ‘Dreams; the Symbolic Language of the Soul.’
Reaching burnout, she recovered by living in remote regions of the higher Himalayas for 7 years, sometimes alone and in caves. For 6 years she lived with Yogi’s and shamans in isolated-forested regions of the lower Himalayas and also in higher wilderness areas with Buddhist lama’s unaccustomed to westerners.
Mary now takes groups on unique journeys to unusual locations in the Himalayas. Together with a specialised team, which includes cooks, an Ayurvedic masseur/yoga teacher and Buddhist lama’s, plus an experienced transport team, she offers unique journeys for those wishing to take the ‘ancient mystic highway’ to the remotest, highest and most spiritually inspiring locations on Earth.
